Overview
In this training series, educators working in Infant and Toddler programs/classroom will dive into Developmentally Appropriate Practices tailored to this particular age range. The sessions will dive into NAEYC standards for DAP, elucidating the concept of being developmentally appropriate. Participants will learn to bridge the gap between developmentally appropriate practices and temperament while emphasizing the importance of responsive caregiving.
Objective
  • Define developmentally appropriate practices for infants and toddlers.
  • Explain how temperament influences and child’s development and behavior.
  • Summarize the significance of responsive caregiving in promoting secure attachments.
