Overview

Description: Building on the content from Baby Love 1: Responding to the Social Emotional Needs of Infants and Toddlers, this PLC takes a deeper dive into the strategies for understanding the behavior of very young children. Why do babies act the way they do? How do we know what to do when that behavior difficult or confusing? Through this PLC, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on the unique development of infants and toddlers, and also learn strategies for preventing and addressing challenging behavior.

Participants will:

  • Reflect on the essential role relationships play in supporting infant and toddlers social emotional development;
  • Gain knowledge in the ways infant and toddler development effects behavior;
  • Collect and use data in order to better understand infant and toddler behavior;
  • Utilize strategies for preventing challenging behavior;
  • Utilize strategies for addressing challenging behavior.
