Creating Anti-Bias Early Education Spaces

Course Number
CS02: 14
Overview
Anti-bias education is a way of teaching the supports children and their families as they develop a sense of identity in a diverse society. It helps children learn to be proud of themselves and their families, respect a range of human differences, recognize unfairness and bias, and speak up for the rights of others (Derman Sparks & Edwards, 2020).
Join fellow early education professionals in conversation, reflection, activities and ideas for implementation about anti-bias practices during these interactive sessions. Together we will review the elements of anti-bias education as well as resources to support our own development in this area. Throughout these series, we will consider how we can implement these practices in our classrooms and programs.
