Overview
"One good conversation can shift the direction of change forever”. Linda Lambert
As early educators in a field attempting to sustain and strengthen at the same time, our survival depends on our ability to come together; to receive, recognize, listen to and navigate the difficult conversations. Our communication skills with each other and families are now more important than ever. “Daring greatly means the courage to be vulnerable. It means to show up and be seen. To ask for what you need. To talk about how you’re feeling. To have the hard conversations”. Brené Brown
Through research, activities and discussion we will reflect on ways to listen and navigate difficult conversations in our own lives and with those we work with to foster cultures of connection, and empathy.
Objective
Identifying and working within the structures of difficult conversations.
