Overview
Early childhood educators are charged with using a curriculum that includes research-based teaching practices and aligns with EEC’s early learning standards. Your curriculum is your plan for what you will do with your children each day. This one-hour course will provide an introduction to curriculum planning, elements of a quality curriculum and the connection between curriculum and assessment.
Objective
After completing this course, you will
Become aware of the basics of how to design and use curriculum,
Understand the connection between curriculum and assessment, and
Become aware of how to support and improve children’s learning through the teaching and learning activities included in your curriculum plan
