Overview

Understanding CACFP Program Records” training from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s (DESE) Office for Food and Nutrition Programs is for center-based programs that are currently participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This training will provide an overview of all the different types of records that must be maintained in order to follow program rules, how often those records need to be updated, and how programs should be using those records to ensure claim accuracy. This training will also address how DESE will review and assess program records during program monitoring. Participants will not only leave this training with an understanding of record keeping requirements, but also an understanding of how program records can help improve program practices and avoid program findings and financial disallowance.
