Overview
This PLC offers AOST providers the opportunity to consider the unique learning needs of school-age children and how they can be supported during out-of-school time. Participants will gain knowledge on child development during the school-age years and use that knowledge in creating a plan for learning activities that will be age-appropriate and fun!
Objective
Having participated in this professional development experience, AOST staff will be able to:
1) Recognize a range of developmental needs while using engaging curriculum in the school-age classroom
2) Describe learning activities to engage the children they serve in out-of-school-time programs.
3) Create a plan for engaging children during February/April school vacation week
Additional Information

Participants are expected to attend all sessions of an event in order to receive credit for attending. Participants will be marked as “completed” in the LMS if they attend no less than 85% of the total sessions for the event (see table below) and complete all necessary coursework.
