Overview

This Pyramid Model professional learning community explores the ways a preschool classroom can become a truly caring community.  Topics such as what it means to belong, being involved in shared classroom ownership, and promoting acts of kindness will all be investigated. Participants will learn developmentally appropriate strategies for building a sense of community, creating contributing roles for children, and involving children in decision-making. This PLC contributes to participants’ understanding of the Pyramid Model principles providing:

  • High-Quality Supportive Environments
