Overview

This PLC will equip educators with the knowledge and strategies to identify their children's stage of development, needs and interest to develop a curriculum that is age appropriate, engaging, and interesting to the children they serve.   Educators will develop a curriculum and or lesson build on children previous experiences that is meaningful to children and their families.

 

Objective
  1. Identify developmentally appropriate practices as they relate to child development and learning; individual strengths, interests, and needs; and social and cultural contexts
  2. Analyze the relationship between assessment and curriculum planning.
