Overview

Before enrolling in the Family Child Care Potential Educator Meeting, you should complete the Potential Provider Training for FCC.

In this course, you will get an overview of the licensing process to become a family child care educator in Massachusetts. We’ll take a close look at the EEC regulations since this is your best resource for finding out what is required of a family child care educator.

We’ll also look at:

  • initial considerations for space and staffing
  • the business side of child care
  • how partnering with families will set you up for success
  • online resources and how to get additional training and development
Objective
By the end of this course, you'll know more about what it takes to own a quality Family Child Care program and the next steps in the licensing process.
