Overview

The purpose of this training is to enable educators to enhance their skills and understanding of building meaningful relationships and partnerships with families of young children. By focusing on effective communication, cultural competence, and collaborative strategies, participants will identify elements for creating a welcoming and supportive environment that fosters trust and mutual respect with families.  During these sessions, content will be interactive and engaging. Discussion and activities will provide educators with practical strategies and tools to continue strengthening relationships and partnerships with families.

  1. Understand the importance of building strong relationships with families in childcare settings.
  2. Identify strategies for effective communication and active listening.
  3. Develop cultural competence to support diverse families.
  4. Implement collaborative practices to involve families in their child’s learning and development
  5. Create a welcoming environment that promotes trust and mutual respect.
