Overview

Before enrolling in the Center-Based Potential Provider meeting, you should complete the Potential Provider Training for GSA.

In this course, you will get an overview of the licensing process to start a center-based (group & school-age) program in Massachusetts. You’ll receive an introduction to the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) along with EEC Regulations and Policies.

We’ll also look at:

  • what it takes to own a quality child care program
  • initial considerations for space and staffing
  • helpful resources for the application process
  • the LEAD Provider Portal
  • Differential Licensing
Objective
By the end of this course, you’ll know more about what it takes to own a quality Center-based (Group & School Aged) Child Care program and the next steps in the licensing process.
