Overview
Everyone involved with children in early education and care programs shares the important responsibility for keeping children safe. Parents, teachers, drivers, and monitors, to name a few, all play a role in making sure children arrive and return safe and sound.

This one-hour course will also cover protection and adhering to safety practices to protect children in and around vehicles. Participants will also review how to design policies and procedures that address and outline management of these risks.
Objective

After completion of this course, you'll be able to:

  • Identify EEC regulations, policies, and procedures for keeping children safe both in and around vehicles
  • Describe the potential risk factors involved in transporting children
  • Create appropriate adaptations to the transporting schedule, plans, and routine when transporting children
