Guidance for Reopening Child Care

Overview

As one element of the reopening of child care programs in Massachusetts, this course provides best practices and guidance associated with EEC Minimum Requirements for Health and Safety. This 60 minute program also includes useful reference documents and links to valuable resources on the Internet.

Focused on the actions required to minimize the spread of the virus in child care programs, there are three parts to the course content:

  • Part 1: Basic Prevention
  • Part 2: Drop-off and pick-up procedures
  • Part 3: Program Structure
Objective

After completing this program:

  • You will be prepared to conduct your program in a way that protects children, families and staff,
  • You will be able to revise and follow new procedures for child drop-off and pick-up,
  • You will be able to engage children in activities which ensure health and safety, and to modify or eliminate those which increase transmission risk, and
  • You will understand and be prepared to share these requirements with families and fellow staff members.
